Register to play Football with the Oakmont Jr. Vikings now!

We are PROUD to be a part of the largest football community in the world! OJV Football supports the development of young athletes in their chosen sport and education. The Oakmont Jr. Vikings Youth Football has been an essential presence in Northern California and beyond for many years.  Our goal is to develop the athleticism and character in young people while producing outstanding athletes.

OJV has been associated with Oakmont High School and its surrounding communities for over a decade. Many of our participants continue to pass on the Jr. Viking traditions of Excellence and Sportsmanship into High School and beyond!

Participation in the 2016 season is open to all youth age 6 – 14 years old as of July 15th, 2016.

2016 Registration costs are still being determined at this time

To be eligible for our 2016 Early Bird Discount, participants must be registered and have paid the full Early Bird Registration Fee, prior to June 1, 2016. Payments for 2016 can begin as early as January.  Recommended payment plans will be posted once registration fees are finalized.

Registration Fees must be paid in full before a participant can be issued any OJV Equipment or uniforms. Any participant still with an outstanding balance by the first day of practice must have made arrangements with the Board Treasurer and have a payment plan on file in order to receive safety equipment and participate in practice. Participants without the appropriate safety equipment will not be allowed to participate in practices.

Safety Equipment & Uniform Jerseys will be distributed to all paid football participants at the Annual Equipment Distribution Day in July. Date still to be determined. A $350 deposit check is required to obtain this equipment. Checks will be shredded or returned to families at the end of the 2016 season when equipment is returned. If equipment is not returned the check will be cashed as payment for the equipment.

Football registration includes:

  • Practice Jersey
  • Practices & Participation in SVUSA regular season games
  • Team Insurance
  • Banquet & Participation Trophy

All participants are required to have a physician complete the SVUSA Medical Clearance Form, between April 15 and July, 2016. The 2016 SVUSA Medical Clearance form will be available to download in March or early April.

The Oakmont Jr. Vikings (OJV) is run entirely by volunteers. While a core group of parents and friends help keep the program running on track each season (Board Members & Coaches), we require assistance from ALL parents to help run the games we host at Oakmont Stadium, as well as when we visit other stadiums.  Parents are needed to run the Snack Bar, Gate, Viking Wear and field/announcer booth positions at all home games and field positions at away games, fulfilling a minimum of 12 hours for each participant.  A $200 deposit check will be required to hold in file for each participant, to guarantee that parents will help fulfill this requirement.  Since we usually host 5 home games, this equals to 1 two hour shift at each home game + 1 additional shift.  Once the 2016 schedule is finalized, required hours will be adjusted to ensure all families are eligible to meet this requirement.  Families with 2 or more participants will only be required a maximum of 20 – 22 hours. If a parent is unable to volunteer at home or away games, or any other volunteer position for the season, they may “buyout” of the volunteer obligation for $200 per participant.  At the end of the season, all Volunteer Deposit Checks will be shredded or returned to the participants family if the volunteer hours have been completed. If the required hours have not been completed, the deposit check will be cashed unless other arrangements are made with the Board Treasurer before that time.

BIG Thank you to all the kids and parents for a GREAT turn out at our Spring Skills & Drill Clinics. We loved seeing so many kids participating.
